Saturday night was even better seeng and transparency than Friday night.
About 50 people from our resort stopped by for a look, some staying for
over an hour, aome staying until we took down at about 2:00 a.m. and one
guy even took a photo of Mars with his ditital camera through one
eyepiece of the f/9 AP180EDT binoviewer.

Again just stunning detail, and we all spotted Phobos and Deimos in Mike
Portuesi's new f/6 15-inch Litebox. the two moons Phobos and Deimos
were visible with direct vision in the large scope. Both moons were
sitting in a diffraction spike extending along the E-W line from Mars.

Today we are taking a drive to Palomar Mountain, 50 miles away.
