Don't worry about breaking any rules. There are only a few. Come anytime, have a good time, introduce yourself to everyone, mooch views through telescopes and stay as long as you want.
Oh yes, if you arrive after dark, come into the parking area without your headlights on and if you leave after dark, leave without your headlights on.....
Oh yes, all new comers have to bring candy and chocolate snacks for everyone who's there (well, maybe not, but it's a good idea don't you think?).
