    OK, I feel better now. I was at Evergreen last night (and will be
    tomorrow) and saw the "jumps" in the image on the laptop. The entire
    planet would suddenly move 1/2 planet width but wasnt going through the
    usual "flattening/oblonging" routine. Must be related to "cell" size.

    I thought maybe the seeing was worse there but this fits Richards
    description exactly.
