OK, hold onto your hats, you're likely to end up miles from here. Our
esteemed Mr Jardine has been busy. He is sporting the AL Messier pin
as well as the Lunar Club one and the Binoc Messier. Meanwhile the
guy has finished the RASC list and the Saguaro. He just put in for
the AL Doubles award and the Binoc Deepsky. Bob's first project was
to observe everything in Nightwatch, and he only has the Horsehead
left. I keep telling him to see it in Jim Everitt's scope and leave
it at that.
So here we have a colleague with 5 completed AL projects, holding 3
of the pins. Add on the Saguaro and RASC deepsky lists for TAC
homegrown awards. Maybe some little arcane ceremony will be in order
at the Poorfolks Party. Something with incense.
Oh yeah, and Joe Bob will continue steaming along thru his Herschels
once again when he gets delivery of his new light dumpster. His
policy in observing is to make sure of seeing all the bright eye
candy up front, hundreds of 'em out there. This plan makes eminent
sense to me for one, as it's the same idea I'm pursuing.
I gotta say that even among a smart bunch of people like this one,
Bob has got brains coming out of his ears. Genial lowkey guy, great
company on a hilltop.
Multitudinous congrats, pal.
