Hi
Coes gate is always unlocked. It is the overflow parking lot and is hard
to miss. But if you do the road comes to an end about 1/2 mile later at
the ranger station so you just come back.
When going to a new area, I find it helpful to show up early the first
time. It is easier to park and you can talk to the few that will be there
about the area, locate the restroom, etc. However, I prefer to set up in
the light too.
A little early is advisable for Coe also, since the, as someone else put
it, road is a little twisty.
That cattleguard is the givaway. It is noisy and rough, you cant miss it
and it means you have one more hill to climb to the observing area.
