    Skiff thru Wagner:
"The contents of the southern sky are without a doubt
impressive, but coming from the US southwest you don't
go outside in Chile and get awed by the sky quality
    itself."

Skiff goes on and on about Anderson Mesa, his favorite
spot, on amastro, and makes reference to it here. 8.0
LM for crying out loud. Now don't get me wrong, a trip
to Chile sounds fun, but the low desert of Arizona is
    that much closer.

Of course, there's the cache of observing in the
Andes. A short list of American observers can talk
about having been there, folks like Barbara Wilson.

Where I'd like to go, as I've said to you, Wags, is
Costa Rica. Beaches and mountains right there, and the
latitude would be fine for the Magellanic Clouds in
the wintertime. Major fantasy to work on. Food's
supposed to be great there, and they have trains.

Good full Moon topic, fantasy sites!
    Cheers,
    JD
