I don't know if I'd go that far, but the point is
well-taken. Even a couple of years ago, when there
were already about 150 people signed up, the emphasis
was still on observing and related subject matter; the
last two years and 20 people have made all the
difference, so it seems.
For my part, I've been the "listowner" for about 1.5
years now; when I took over from Mark, the list was
still pretty solidly observing with only occasional
forays into photos and equipment and seminars and so
forth. I was happy to oblige as listonwer for that
kind of list. The subsequent evolution of the list,
however, has made it far less attractive for me, to
the point where I'd rather go back to the "bigdog" or
similar approach where it's just observing. The
breadth of discussions on TAC is getting wide enough,
so that my interest level is now so low as to make it
almost not worthwhile. If TAC continues to "evolve"
away from observing and related, I will ask someone
else to "own" the list...
...not a job for the faint of heart - right, Rich? ;-)
