Good suggestion. I failed to mention it, but this
was only the highlight of my OBSERVING/IMAGING
session. You see, Phil Terzian and James Turley
had also come over and so we broke out the
recently-liberated TV101 and re-acquainted it with
its long-forsaken Gibraltar Mount and had a dandy
time OBSERVING too. I probably should have
mentioned this earlier.
I loved Turley's comment about IC1795 when he
finally found it in "The Deep Sky Observer's
Guide" (vol 1 p 125). He said something to the
effect of "Hey, there are lots of interesting
things around IC1795 but overall it is in that
dreaded OPEN CLUSTER LAND". I sensed a tone of
disdain coming from James as he drew the
connection to the bad neighborhood that IC1795
reposes.
He said something else about IC1795 but it is best
left unsaid on this list :-)

PS, yes, I am having a dandy time in the new
backyard when there's no marine layer which seems
to be about as often as a New Moon. Now if I can
just get both events to coincide.....
