Gotta tell my own grandchild story.
Kevin was perhaps 5, and I showed him Saturn. He stared for a time,
saying nothing. After what must have been a minute or more, he slowly
stepped down the ladder and ambled away. I was shocked -- no reaction
whatever? Just then he threw both arms in the air and yelled "OUTER
SPACE!!"
He'd seen it.
