Last night I was setting up my new mount in my driveway and 3 of the
neighborhood boys ended up here asking questions and wanting to look at
something. I found it fun sharing what little I know. Which leads me to a
thought I have had for a while.

I have an ETX 90 (non go-to) with field tripod and a few toys for it. I
have wanted sell it but knew it would not bring much so I came up with the
idea of giving it to a young person who is interested in astronomy. Then I
thought it would end up in there closet or never used. So what about having
an essay contest and letting the winner take it home for say three months
and do it again. I would also be interested in holding a star party four
times a year, maybe more at a school, pick a topic and teach it.

Do grammar schools teach astronomy or any science?
If anyone has any thoughts on this or would be interested in helping me put
it on I would love to here from you.
I have no kids and would love to share this with others.
