Since it's a Full Moon and with the tone of recent posts, I don't feel to
    badly about posting this.

Yesterday morning I was standing out by the car with my daughter waiting for
my wife to come out with the keys. It was about 20 after 6 and clear as a
bell. Jupiter had just risen above the hill and Isabel as usual pointed to
the sky and asked where the moon was (you have to understand that this was
an interpretation...she's a month short of 2...but moon was clear). I told
her the moon was bye-bye (already set behind the houses) and turned to look
at Jupiter, where upon she points right at Jupiter and said "tar" (still has
    trouble with "s").

Encouraged by my enthusiastic reaction, she leaned back and pointed right at
Saturn and again said "star". I have pointed stars out to her before but it
never seemed to make an impression on her, so you can imagine my joy when
she pointed out the 2 brightest objects in the sky and called them stars
    with out any prompting.

I couldn't help but think of Mark and Mimi with the hope that I will be able
to foster the same kind of interest and enthusiasm in my daughter.

I apologize for being rather off topic but as a proud Papa, I couldn't
    resist telling everyone.

    Grinning ear to ear,

    Dave S.
