Exactly correct. I just disassembled the DEC worm housing, and
reassembled. Somehow, that seems to do the trick. Now that I see the
clever dynamics of the worm, I'm clued in. The grease seems to be fine,
and of good quality, still clear, but with a little darkness. So..i
decided not to do a rebuild.
I see my mount is almost the same as the EQ5 or EQ4. I guess this was
the "model" for the Chinese copies. So....I could just follow the
astroguy rebuild FAQ should I need to. But now, my mount is rock solid,
with 2 sec dampening on a almost 4' f/11 C80 tube.
