85 to Monterey Highway (82) to Cochrane to 101 wouldn't be bad, especially
if you are in a small fast car and are fairly adept at slipping through
slower traffic on said Monterey Highway. Back off from excessive speeds
before you get to Morgan Hill (anyways, you take Cochrane to get back to the
freeway just before the town). The trick is, they didn't make it easy to
get from 85 to 82 south.
