90mm f5.6 Mac/Cas

Before you plunk down that kind of money, evaluate carefully how you might
use it. If you're only going to use it as a superfinder, then the demands
on its optics will not be great; however, if you are considering using it
at higher powers, you're likely to be disappointed.

FWIW, the used price on non-EC Meade ETX's has plummeted. I picked up one a
few weeks ago locally for $300 in mint condition, and that's probably not
as good as you can get. This is the astro version, complete with motorized
equ fork mount. I imagine the spotting version would be much less, if you
can find one. The focal length is about double that of the f/5.6 models, so
it would be more challenging to use as a superfinder; OTOH, it has a
built-in flip-mirror so it can be used nearly simultaneously as an ST and
RA finder. And the optical quality on the ETX is outstanding.
