I had one for a while. It is very light and small, and might be perfect
for your purposes. 160x is very optimistic, though; mine wasn't nearly
as good, because I could never get the collimation close enough.

I have a detailed review on the web at:

that I have a better idea of how the ST80 and the 80mm f/7 compare. The
short version is that the 80f7 gives vastly better images (no contest)
than either one, but is of course much longer and heavier; the 80 f/5 is
smaller than the f/7 but quite a bit bigger than the Mak, gives better
star images with less coma (no collimation problems), but has a lot of
color. If you want it for a finder, and size and weight are an issue,
the Mak should be a good choice.
