Most SUVs are wired for trailer hitches and even if they dont have the
hitch, the wiring harness is usually under the back of the car. This
includes 12v battery power. Hooking up a plug at the back is trivial. If
it has the hitch, just pick up a mating plug and only wire to the +12 and
ground. Get a one to two cig plug adapter, cut off the plug and wire it
to the hitch plug, (paying attention to polarity) and presto....12v. All
you have to do is plug it in when you setup.
