I offer the following - by *NOT* patronizing the park,
we are speaking volumes to the people in charge. When
they see their receipts go down and the area populated
by only a handful of campers and slew of stoned
reprobates, without the commanding presence of
astronmers, they will listen. A silent boycott can be
powerful when it is 50 - 66% of the park's
constituency. You don't know what you got 'til it's
gone, eh?
Why was Cameron more accommodating the other night?
Two words - Pacheco - Coe. We spoke, and they're
beginning to listen.
I suggest that we keep doing this. We still get good
observing, and they get get a message. When we happen
to see them, we can mention gently about what has been
happening, and then let them ponder it. Patience will
win the day (and the night).
