MB 12/28/00

Even with the intolerable crud, I managed to finish my Messier survey with a
hazy M79 in Lepus. Now I have to figure out which list to start chasing
next. Also, with the help of James' 5mm Radian eyepiece, I was able to
clearly resolve Saturn's C ring for the first time in my scope; After
playing around with various combinations, I also discovered that I could use
my Meade Ultrawide 8.8 with a 2X barlow to achieve nearly the same
resolution.

Thanks for the clarification that the transit was Europa.... Having not
looked at my Jupiter program, I thought it was Io.
