Kydex

I thank those who have responded to my query.

I have a piece of thin PVC from Tap Plastics. The first cuts I made in it
with my circular saw were clean, but they started getting increasingly
ragged and would break out. I thought this might be due to plastic deposits
building up on the blade, but it looks clean. Maybe it needs a
zero-clearance throat plate on the saw to support it. So I thought I would
try Kydex, since it can supposedly be cut with scissors. -- Hmm, now that I
write this, it occurs to me that the good cuts were with the blade guard
down on the plastic, and the break-outs happened when I raised the guard to
see the ending marks better. Probably the guard reduced the PVC's
vibrations

In the ATM Archives, I found this:

While perusing the leftovers on the shelves of Wally-mart (after the
hordes of boxing day shoppers) I found some kids crazy karpet snow
sliders on sale. These are the black kydex version with the matt finish
on one side. Aprox 16x54", great for lining that top cage with. Price
3.97cnd
James P Crombie

So I think I have enough to go on now. Thanks.
