Imaging the M87 Jet

Well, that wasn't too hard! I was on my eighth 10-minute exposure
when I went over to the computer and scaled the latest 10-minute
image and wow!!! there it was. So here is a 10-minute exposure
with my 5-inch refractor at f/16 (using a 2x AP barlow to get the
extra image scale).

No processing was done to the image besides a dark subtract and
flat fielding. Of course I had to do a linear scale to back off
the intensity of M87. This was done from my backyard in San Jose.
