Observing the Jet in M87

Oooooo! Thanks for the image reference Jim!

I wonder if I can capture the jet from my backyard? I calculate I
would need 200 minutes of exposure at f/16 to get the same S/N. But
it looks like I won't need quite that much. Was this image taken
from a dark site Jim?
