We've all heard about the famous jet in M87, but whoever thought it
might be visible in an amateur scope?

I just uploaded a new webpage, with a CCD image of the jet by Dave
Healy, together with observing reports by Dave and Roger Clark. They
made their observations in 16" and 12.5" scopes, respectively, so you
don't need a monster scope. What you do need is dark skies and very
good seeing. The URL is:

Here's a great observing challenge for your next visit to a good dark
sky site. Steve Gottlieb and I are planning to give it a try tomorrow night
from Fiddletown. You're welcome to join us.
