Try the Astronomical Data Center at http://adc.gsfc.nasa.gov/ and a lot of
the data is not 'reduced', in the sense that only redshift is recorded,
rather than distance, since determining distance involves a number of
assumptions about values for the Hubble Constant, etc.
Also, the NASA/IPAC Extragalactic Databse (NED) at
http://nedwww.ipac.caltech.edu/index.html is a place to look for info on
galaxies.
For the Messier catalog, http://www.seds.org/messier/ contains some distance
information.
