The fainter galaxies on Ray's image come the "Virgo Cluster Catalogue" (VCC)
by Sandage & Binggelli, which lists 2096 probably members of the Virgo
Cluster -- Everything from the bright Messiers down to 20th magnitude motes.
The authors list the magnitudes as Blue (total), although I don't know how
accurately they were determined. I have the catalogue in an Excel
spreadsheet - if anyone is interested I could e-mail it as an attachment.
