For list-members in the Southwest US:
Folks wanting to get summer objects observed had best do it soon in the
post-midnight hours. In the last couple days the monsoon pattern has started
to develop in eastern Mexico and west Texas, and the longer-term climate
forecast is for the cold La Nina sea-surface temperatures to persist for a few
more months and produce another wet monsoon like last year in Arizona and
New Mexico.
