Astronomers Spot Most Distant Quasar Ever Observed

The light from the Quasar was probably traveling for about half that time,
13 billion years maybe, perhaps a bit less. (We've been moving!) ;) Means
the Quasar was an early universe baby. A red shift of 5.8 just blows my
mind! Who has the calculator? Is that a recession velocity of better than
95% lightspeed? (Anybody seen my Intergalactic radar gun?!)
